Jim Murray's Whisky Bible
What's in a name? Brora 25 Year Old whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Brora 25 Year Old whiskey, rather than whisky.
Nose: Refined, dry grass, leafy. Truffle oil, almonds and hazelnuts. Winter spice, delicate smoke.
Palate: Very fruity, full, apple peels, pear, oily, nutty. Lemon grass, fennel, seaweed.
Finish: Long, quite smoky, dry hay, coastal edge emerges.
En mkt smakrik whisky där päron och nötter finns,
lite vatten och den blommar ut.
