Bowmore Feis 2011 Bottling Note

Made especially for the 2011 Feis Ile, this Bowmore was aged for 15 years and finished in a sherry cask before bottling at natural cask strength. A release of just 500 bottles. Very rare!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Sweet and sticky with notes of sherried peels, dates and walnuts. A little toffee, cocoa and smoke, with hints of salty butter and rye spices.

Palate: Big and rich with notes of cocoa, spices and smoke. Quite sooty and intense, with some chocolate-covered raisins and toffee apple.

Finish: Good length with notes of plums and dates.

If you like Smoke, I think you would like this!

I'm new in the whisky taste. Smells just like the taste. Smess like burnt wood, taste like burnt wood plus spicy. After 3rd sip very light sweet after taste then bitter. But this is the fist time I tasted whisky exactly of what it smells like! I really didn't taste any of those described in the note from master malt. But this taste is quite interesting.
