Whisky or Whiskey

Insider knowledge: Bladnoch 1991 35cl - Connoisseurs Choice (Gordon and MacPhail) whisky is named whisky by virtue of the fact it's from Scotland. If distilled in America the spelling would be Bladnoch 1991 35cl - Connoisseurs Choice (Gordon and MacPhail) whiskey, as opposed to whisky.

Bladnoch 1991 35cl Bottling Note

A half bottling of the 1991 Gordon and MacPhail-bottled Bladnoch. This was bottled as part of the Connoisseur's Choice range and was matured in refill bourbon casks.

Bladnoch 1991 35cl Tasting Note

The nose is aromatic and herbaceous. Cereal notes develop with malty sweet barley and something hay-like. There is a spiciness and notes of dry wood. The palate is sweet and of medium body, more spice with a floral edge and soft oak, quite light, all in all. The finish is soft and smooth and little fanfares of oak and gentle apple blossom weave in and out.
