Part of Benromach's Origins series which shows different production processes. Batch 2 is distilled from well-peated malt and matured in first fill ex-bourbon casks and offers the classic Benromach with some peat smoke!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Fresh, balanced. Wet sand on a beach, earthy. Citrus. The "peat smoke" is, as of yet, very gentle.
Palate
Perfumed, fruity and oily. More peaty than expected. Damp ash.
Finish
Wood shavings, dry and smoky, some fruit.
