What's in a name? BenRiach Heredotus 12 Year Old (Pedro Ximenez Sherry Finish) whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled BenRiach Heredotus 12 Year Old (Pedro Ximenez Sherry Finish) whiskey, rather than whisky.
Nose: Lots of firm peat. Malty, slightly smoky.
Palate: Soft. Supple pine with notes of Americano coffee, malty peat whirling throughout. Vanilla.
Finish: Dry, cereal notes, barley.
This is the one of all the whiskys you can talk about absolute world class for a fair price. /Andreas Ödén Gävle, Sweden
Great whisky, could really play in a higher league. Has moments close in sensation to these of Ardbeg Uigedal. An achievement!!!
didn't have the highest hopes for this one, but WOW was i wrong!! it blew my mind.. for that age and price it's a killer! BUY! /Micke Andersson, Sweden
