What's in a name? BenRiach 16 Year Old whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled BenRiach 16 Year Old whiskey, rather than whisky.
Nose: Fruity-fresh. Honeyed sweetness, touch of dryness.
Palate: Medium. Sweet barley and vanilla. Buttery, some apple peel. Perhaps a spot of peat.
Finish: Medium length, some caramel, dark sugar and a pinch of peat.
This is a fantastic malt for the price. My other go to bottle at the moment is signet at 3 times the prices. If you have not tried this yet buy a bottle ,you won't be disappointed .
