Insider knowledge: BenRiach 16 Year Old whisky is named whisky by virtue of the fact it's from Scotland. If distilled in America the spelling would be BenRiach 16 Year Old whiskey, as opposed to whisky.
Nose: Fruity-fresh. Honeyed sweetness, touch of dryness.
Palate: Medium. Sweet barley and vanilla. Buttery, some apple peel. Perhaps a spot of peat.
Finish: Medium length, some caramel, dark sugar and a pinch of peat.
This is a fantastic malt for the price.My other go to bottle at the moment is signet at 3 times the prices.If you have not tried this yet buy a bottle ,you won't be disappointed .
