Nose: Apple, vanilla, touch of honeycomb and maltiness. Dried papaya. Wet rock. Verbena leaves.
Palate: More wet rock, spicy pear skin, some salinity and salt and vinegar quavers (if you can imagine such a thing).
Finish: Fresh with salinity and a late little lick of chilli.
Overall: Tremendous! You certainly won't find too many Auchentoshan single casks like this one.
