Jim Murray's Whisky Bible
What's in a name? Amrut Intermediate Sherry Cask Matured whisky is called whisky because it's produced in India. Were it from America it would be spelled Amrut Intermediate Sherry Cask Matured whiskey, rather than whisky.
I once marvelled at the prices of whiskies I saw online, how can they possibly be that much better than the quality single malts my local supermarkets offer,I asked myself?! Well now (thanks to my lovely girlfriend) I know.
This whisky truly astounded me. I don't quite know how to describe it but believe me it is face tinglingly amazing!
