What's in a name? Aberlour a'Bunadh Batch 26 whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Aberlour a'Bunadh Batch 26 whiskey, rather than whisky.
Nose: Rich, fruity. So much character, buttery biscuits, sherry, mince pices, marmalade.
Palate: Full, sherried. Mixed peels, pastries, berry fruits, buttery crumble.
Finish: Long, spicy, sweet honey and fruit.
Certainly the best batch I've sampled and I've tried a few. The smoothness and raisin sweetness marked it out.
