Insider knowledge: Aberlour a'Bunadh Batch 26 whisky is named whisky by virtue of the fact it's from Scotland. If distilled in America the spelling would be Aberlour a'Bunadh Batch 26 whiskey, as opposed to whisky.
Nose: Rich, fruity. So much character, buttery biscuits, sherry, mince pices, marmalade.
Palate: Full, sherried. Mixed peels, pastries, berry fruits, buttery crumble.
Finish: Long, spicy, sweet honey and fruit.
Certainly the best batch I've sampled and I've tried a few. The smoothness and raisin sweetness marked it out.
