What's in a name? Aberlour 15 Year Old whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Aberlour 15 Year Old whiskey, rather than whisky.
Nose: Grassy, with a charming oily, nutty texture. Gentle peat but with good sweetness.
Palate: Nutty, creamy sherry and cinnamon.
Finish: Toffee led, long, buttery finish, just a whisper of smoke.
Overall: Superb balance.
Nice whisky in a cold night.
