Insider knowledge: Aberlour 15 Year Old whisky is named whisky by virtue of the fact it's from Scotland. If distilled in America the spelling would be Aberlour 15 Year Old whiskey, as opposed to whisky.
Nose: Grassy, with a charming oily, nutty texture. Gentle peat but with good sweetness.
Palate: Nutty, creamy sherry and cinnamon.
Finish: Toffee led, long, buttery finish, just a whisper of smoke.
Overall: Superb balance.
Nice whisky in a cold night.
