Had this Rum in Grenada straight from Westerhall Estate, been desperately trying to find an outlet in the UK - a king of Rums!!would match any single malt whisky

Crazy price for the Grenadian weaker 'airport jack' as its known in Carriacou. It used to cost $50 EC (about £6) for a gallon a few years back. Describing its nose and finish is like comparing brandy to Meths!
Strong rum but vastly overpriced by Westerhall.

£29.00 seems like a good price based on your £6 local cost. Because about £15.00 goes to the govt in import duties and another £4.00 in VAT leaving about £4 to share between retailer and UK cost etc (£6 - product; £21-HM Govt & £4-retailer). Thanks for that, I think it is value for money then. I would get me a few bottles. Good lad!

Carriacou Jack now costs about £2-50 a bottle but this is a totally different animal to Westerhall JackIron and should not really be compared. Carriacou Jack is basically bootleg from Trinidad and is an absolutely fantastic rum, Westerhall Jack is commercially produced rum and is also absolutely fantastic rum but all the costs of tax and importation add to the price but still well worth it, i'll be ordering some.
