Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum Original Recipe 1.5l

add vanila 2 tea spoons of dark sugar to new recipe and it is impossible to tell them apart

i wrote to Sailor Jerry and the response was muted and as a result I boycott the new flavour as is is now just a me too product. The original flavour was perfection and the most palatable drink I have ever tasted. i really miss it and would relish a revival.

How can they call the new recipe orignal, when there are thousands of spiced rums out there but there was only Vanilla & Lime! Sailor Jerry say they don't imitate, they innovate. In that case bring back the old recipe!!! I add 2 vanilla pods & 1 lime, quartered to a bottle of the new stuff. It does improve the taste but it's not like the old stuff.

I have just bought a bottle of the old recipe off of eBay I cannot wait for that sweet sweet nector. It may have hurt my wallet 80 English pounds for a litre and half but I would gladly have paid more as this drink is that tits

New recipe? Spiced p*** more like! And it was changed for corporate greed, not the pallete of its loyal customers! I've just forked out for two of these from ebay at 65 notes apiece, one as a birthday present to meself, t'other to stash away. There's no comparison. Want the old SJ but can't find it? Lamb's Spiced (very close, just a shade more cinamon)or Vernon's Old J (smells the same, tastes just a shade better!)

Current sailor jerrys is lovely but when untasted the original oohing compares!!!! If it ain't broke why fix it?!

SJ is spinning in his grave at how his good name is sold out by the company.

Ive put so many people on to the original rum. How could you guys say the new recipe is the product of professional tasters and bartenders? Find a single comment on here that says "i enjoy the new recipe" Oh wait..... NO ONE LIKES THAT GARBAGE rubbing alcohol and all spice. First drinks you make me sick
