Plantation Barbados 2000 Bottling Note

This superb reserve rum was distilled in Barbados in both traditional pot stills and column stills before a maturation in sherry and bourbon casks. After absorbing flavour and complexity from this initial ageing period, the rum was transported to Cognac Ferrand in France for a finish in Cognac casks!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Gooey, buttery toffee to the fore, with a wave of leather and marmalade. Hints of cinnamon and allspice.

Palate: Tobacco and honey. Notes of something vaguely coppery. A little dried fig/date note. Walnut loaf and hints of salted butter.

Finish: Creamy caramel and Corinth raisin.
