This is a delicious dark rum from Panama, aged for 11 years and shipped to the UK for bottling by top wine merchant Berry Brothers and Rudd. It's a very fruity, spicy spirit.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Dried fruit - particularly apricot - as well as cinnamon, toffee apples, allspice and oak.

Palate: Woody, oaky palate with a mix of golden syrup and peppermint. Again, all very spicy, with a good level of sweetness.

Finish: Long finish. Buttery and spiced.

A complex yet light delight

A panama rum, so it will always be fresh and light. But in this case, that means delicately complex. As can be expected with any berry bottlings, the nose is a treat with some mint, loads of peaches and apricot, vanilla, café latte, milkchocolate and some green herbs. The taste has some maritime notes with again peaches and vanilla and some wood notes After an excellent nose and a good palate, it is the finish that elevates this rum to 5 stars in my opinion: a beautiful building and lasting finish wich perfectly balances pepers and green spices with citrus, mint and fruity tones. After about 30 seconds a very nice coffee tone is added. I should get another bottle of this I think, current one isn't gonna last long.
