Cockburns 2000 Bottling Note

An exceptional Vintage port from stalwart producer Cockburns. 2000 was a great year, and this LBV port has been allowed to rest in casks, then racked off to remove a great portion of the sediment. As a result this port should not need decanting.

A truly great vintage and the LBV doesnt disappoint, It has a really liquid sultana taste that hangs on the tongue, stimulating the taste buds to explode, making me remember those late Summer evenings spent in a little village called Guia in the Algarve, the air filled with the perfume of lemon trees and piri piri chicken.
