The Chivas and Glenlivet Group founds Braes of Glenlivet, the name which will be used for the first 20 years. The Glenlivet, Tomintoul and Tamnavulin are the only other distilleries situated in the Livet Glen valley. Production starts in October.

1975

Three stills are increased to five.

1978

Five stills are further expanded to six.

1994

The distillery changes name to Braeval.

2001

Pernod Ricard takes over Chivas Brothers.

2002

Braeval is mothballed in October.

2008

The distillery starts producing again in July.
