The nose is rich and pungent with smoke, peat and phenol notes: iodine, tar and bitumen. Some burnt, resinous wood creeps in with hints of fruit and a little sherry. The palate is full and quite sweet. Notes of thick peat with an oiliness. A touch of tarry oak with a little sherry every now and then.
