Clouds Shiraz 2018 Bottling Note

A brilliant Australian Shiraz from the ever-wonderful Ministry of Clouds, the 2018 vintage is made with grapes from a pair of vineyards. With heaps of black fruit, spicy dishes will accompany this one well, especially those with fish.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Blueberry and blackcurrant, with red berries in there too alongside creamy oak, a touch of dark chocolate, tingling spices and vegetal undertones.

Ministry of Clouds Shiraz 2018 Reviews

McLaren Vale Beauty

Rated 95/100 (I found this review)
Twelve percent whole bunch fruit was included in the ferment and maturation took place in a mix of old French oak puncheons and a foudre. Totally opaque black dark purple colour with a deep bright dark red black tinged hue. Filling the olfactory senses are aromatics of liquorice, dark plum and a whiff of ripe blueberry followed by fennel, lightly smoked cedar and spicy vanilla notes. Rich and plump, a succulent combination of blue and dark fruits flood the mouth underpinned by vanillin cedar, fennel and subtle spicy pepper. Velvety tannins finishing with a lick of fresh acidity. Long sumptuous dark plum, liquorice, blueberry, vanillin cedar, fennel and spicy pepper aftertaste.
