From Hugel Estate in Alsace comes this 2013 dry Gewurztraminer, one of the most distinctive grape varieties in the world. Incredibly perfumed and aromatic with rose petal and lychee when young, as they mature they develop a wonderfully spicy almost gingerbread character. This particular example is best consumed young, but will continue to evolve for another 2-3 years, developing more spice. Try with Stilton instead of the more typical Port, you won't be disappointed!
Intense nose, plenty of rose petal and floral notes along with fruitier elements of passion fruit and lychee.
