A rewardingly rich Italian Barolo red wine from Francesco Rinaldi & Figli, this 2016 vintage is produced from 100% Nebbiolo grapes that were harvested from vines planted between 1980 and 1990. The wine is left to rest in large Slavonian oak barrels for around three years, before being given further time to develop in the bottle. The result is a bold and robust sipper that will make a rather special accompaniment to rich, heavy dishes.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Rich red fruits, dark cherries, and blackcurrant with earthy wafts of leather and piney herbs. Bold oaken tannins continue throughout with hints of sweet balsamic and polished cedar.
