First Drop Mother's Ruin Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

Sorry about this...

We can't actually ship First Drop Mother's Ruin Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 to you in United States at the moment. We're working on a solution, but until then, here are some alternatives:

Mother's Ruin 2013 Bottling Note

Said to be "an ode to the old school luncheon claret", this easy drinking Australian Cabernet Sauvignon is ready to go or could be laid down for five to eight years (or as long as fifteen). Its tongue in cheek name and Hogarth label play on the amount of gin Londoners used to consume during the so called 'gin craze' of the 18th century (gallons of the stuff each year!). Although gin (of an entirely superior quality) has of course become extremely popular again today, I know plenty of mothers who would appreciate a bottle or two of this fantastic red from First Drop.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Dark fruits and berries, with a green edge although more subtle in this respect than you may expect from the style of Bordeaux it takes as its muse.

Palate: More blackcurrant, cherry and plum notes, rounded with good texture.

Finish: Long with tannins offering just enough structure.

Overall: Rather drinkable and very tasty Cabernet Sauvignon.
