The 2010 Cornish Point Pinot Noir from New Zealand winemakers Felton Road was the result of a fine growing season, despite having quite a chilly start with some frosts. However, the frost did no damage and in the end, those grapes made a lovely, vibrant Pinot Noir.
Nose: Rich notes of black cherry, cinnamon, plum and subtle violets.
Palate: Utterly huge. More fruits, bigger spices, oak and lasting chocolatey note throughout.
Finish: Clean minerality on the finish.
Overall: Positively bursting with ace-ness (totally a word).
