Top notch red here from Stellenbosch in South Africa. It's mainly cabernet sauvignon with some cabernet franc, merlot and petit verdot which was aged in French oak casks. Now eight years after the vintage, it's mellowing and taking on spicy tobacco and cedar flavours. This might be the ultimate Sunday lunch wine. Give it a decant an hour or so before serving.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Lashing of ripe blackcurrant and plum fruit, rich and full-bodied, with ripe tannins and notes of leather, cedar and tobacco. Very long.
