Sorry about this...

We can't actually ship Clos Triguedina Cahors 2012 to the United States at the moment (although we're working hard to fix that).

In the meantime, our friends over at The Whisky Shop might be able to help you out.

Thank you for your support and understanding 🙂

Clos Triguedina Cahors 12 Bottling Note

Behold the mighty black wine of Cahors! This part of France was famous for its formidable wine in the eighteenth century. Much of the production used to head north to Bordeaux where it was used to beef up wines for the English market. Though the fame of the region has faded somewhat, this part of southwest France makes some excellent wines today. The grape used is Malbec (Cot as it's known locally), a grape that's best known for making velvety smooth wines in Argentina. In Cahors it usually produces something a bit different - wines with bite and structure that on their own might be a bit fierce but when combined with some cassoulet go all melty and gooey. Clos Triguedina, however, produces wines that are distinctively rugged but a little softer and fruitier than the Cahors norm. You could even attempt a glass without food.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Deep, dark brooding nose, earthy, leather and the sloes. Take a sip and it's quite firm, tannins still present, but underneath there's a fragrance and lots of dark fruit. A little time open and with some food, and it softens and becomes increasingly agreeable.
