St Estephe borders Paulliac in the Bordeaux region of France, and is known for its gravelly soil. This means the wines are particularly good in hot, dry years. The Chateau Ormes De Pez from 2009 is concentrated fruit flavours and ripe tannins.
The aroma is reminiscent of concentrated red and black fruits with a vivid intensity on the palate. The tannins are ripe but well-balanced and help the fruity flavours hold up in rich meaty meals. This is an excellent value wine considering it's quality.
