Charles Melton Nine Popes 2013

Charles Melton 2013 Bottling Note

An Australian homage to the wines of Châteauneuf-du-Pape (hence the absolutely hilarious pun. Well, moderately funny. Sort of. If you speak French. Badly.), this has long been recognised as one of the best wines of the Barossa Valley. A blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mataro (Mourvedre) - smashing stuff.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Sweet strawberry and raspberry fruit, backed up with white pepper, liquorice and fresh herbs. Soft, supple tannins and gentle acidity make this a lovely match for red meat, game and hard cheeses.
