A wine from the Biferno DOC in Southern Italy and made by Palladino by blending a third each of Montepulciano, Aglianico (both red) and Trebbiano (white) grape varieties. Using white grapes for red wine is more common than you might think! Montepulciano and Trebbiano are Italian restaurant staples giving this wine soft and fruity aromas, with the Aglianico giving some more savoury character and body.
A lovely food-friendly, medium-bodied wine which Italy seems to do so well. More savoury and dark fruit flavours from the Aglianico are found in addition to the classic soft, cherry fruit of the Montepulciano and subtle floral notes of the Trebbiano.
