The Chocolate Block 2012 Bottling Note

This is the 2012 vintage of South African producers Boekenhoutskloof's The Chocolate Block red wine. It was made using 70% Syrah, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Grenache Noir, 6% Cinsault and 1% Viognier grapes. It was allowed to age in oak casks for 18 months before bottling.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Thick, robust dark fruit at its core, decorated with intense bursts of floral aromas. A touch nutty and (of course) rather chocolatey in spots too. Luxurious tannins.
