Last year saw the inaugural World Whisky Day bring together over 20,000 people at over 200 events - old hands and newcomers alike - to share a dram or two and celebrate this wonderful spirit.
After trending across the globe on twitter and making the BBC News front page, organiser Blair Bowman is now looking to build on last year's success. A new date of 18th May has been set for 2013 and he has of course also produced another fantastic, limited edition blend to mark the occasion using whisky from some of Scotland’s finest distilleries.
Nose: Cooked apples and pears with a development of dried fruits. Vanilla sponge cake, freshly sliced stem ginger and cracked black pepper.
Palate: More cooked fruits, alongside rum-soaked raisins and sultanas. Orange peel and Seville orange marmalade. A rich peppery note and then a hint of fresh-cut flowers.
Finish: Lingering orange and citrus spice with a light hint of wood smoke.
