Light Creamy Vanilla 17YO Bottling Note

A 17 year old blended Scotch whisky from indie bottlers WM Cadenhead, made with malt whisky from Ardmore, Auchroisk, Caperdonich and Clynelish and grain whisky from Invergordon. The result, as the name suggests, is light and creamy with plenty of sweet vanilla notes throughout.

Light Creamy Vanilla 17 Year Old - Cadenhead Creations Reviews

What a delight

Had a dram of this in a whisky bar the other night, and safe to say it is the dram I have enjoyed the most in a while. have over 300 whiskies in my collection and do blind tastings every week.

Not exactly as I hoped...

This is a tasty blend that I wish lived up to its name. I was expecting it to be a little creamier and sweeter. I detect a peaty/smoke flavor that I wish was stated in the tasting notes, as I prefer non-peaty/smoky whisky. That being said, it's not an overwhelming peat-smoke flavor, but enough to definitely be noticed. I'll see if I get used to it.
