WhistlePig FarmStock #3 Bottling Note

Behold, the third FarmStock Rye Crop from the ever-wonderful WhistlePig! The third release of the annual limited-edition expression is part of the 'Triple Terroir' vision, which means (eventually) it will be distilled entirely from WhistlePig grain, blended with WhistlePig water and aged in WhistlePig custom Vermont White Oak.

This third edition is also rather historical, as it's the first ever majority WhistlePig whiskey! The mash bill comprises of 52% three year old WhistlePig Vermont rye, 31% six year old Canadian rye, and 17% 10 year old Canadian rye. It's then aged in custom Vermont white oak before being bottled at 43% ABV. A deliciously spicy whisky from the folks over in Vermont.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Vanilla custard, cinnamon and cherry jam, with toasted walnut and new leather.

Palate: Crème caramel, toasty oak, sweet baking spice, Turkish delight, toffee penny and a pinch of tobacco.

Finish: Warming rye spice really comes into its own on a lengthy finish.
