WhistlePig 10yo (37.5cl) Bottling Note

A half-bottle of the wonderful WhistlePig 10 Year Old rye whiskey! This expression is distilled in Canada but makes its way down to Vermont to rest a while longer at WhistlePig's farm before being bottled at 10 years of age with an ABV of 50%. Excellent in cocktails or sipped simply, showing off plenty of spice, oak and toasty sugar notes.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Fresh peppermint and herbal thyme initially, with sweet vanilla and marzipan developing. Creamy butterscotch, raspberry jam and orange rind round it off.

Palate: Warm baking spices, nutmeg, cinnamon and allspice burst to life and are tempered by sweet muscovado sugar, bright oak and dark chocolate. Vanilla cola and caramel shortbread linger.

Finish: Medium-length, with warm rye spices, sweet malt and sour cherries.
