Cask strength blended Irish whiskey from West Cork, which has been allowed to marry in first-fill bourbon barrels. Rather punchy, full-bodied stuff.
Sharp green apple and lime, followed by a mellow touch of vanilla. A hint of treacle develops after a few minutes.
Cookie dough and spiced rum, with underlying hints of cooked banana and raw cinnamon.
Cherry bakewells and lemon peel.
First tasting nearly took my head off!! Geez I do like to have my whiskey neat or maybe just a drop (10 per cent ) water !! West Cork cask strength demanded water & more than usual, plus leave to settle for a while & then still packs a mighty punch!! My verdict is this is too strong for me to enjoy properly so I will look forward to sharing with others to hear their views!!!
Very nice. Love cask strength whisky. Tj8s was great for £35
Vanilla green apples and werthers originals. Would be a bargain at twice the price but I'm a sucker for a cask strength and this is s beauty at bargain price especially as I picked it up on sale
$31.93 - $65.16
