The Hive Batch Strength 002 (Wemyss Malts)

From indie bottler Wemyss Malts' Batch Strength series comes the second release of The Hive bottling. A selection of Scotch single malts were chosen for their sweet characters, creating a particularly honeyed blended malt. Only 9,000 bottles were released at 55.5% ABV.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Runny honey on hot buttered toast with a sprinkle of cinnamon, with juicy oranges and stone fruit. Bread and butter pudding with a dollop of custard.

Palate

Floral orange blossom bursts open, alongside orange oil and beeswax with honeyed oats. Mouthcoating indeed.

Finish

Oodles of honeycomb which eventually dissipate for a clean and refreshing finish.
