Nose: Cooked apples with silky dark caramel, soft peach, and apricot – an abundance of fresh and dried stone fruits with aromatic oak and distant earthen vanilla joining in time.
Palate: Most intriguing, with a touch of cinnamon and spice quickly leading to gummy sweets, delicate lemon balm, cardamom, and an enjoyable woody astringency.
Finish: Heaps of drying oak arrives on the finish, with prickles of clove. Notes of rooibos tea and a fizz of minerality, plus a return of the dried stone fruit from the nose.
