Glenalmond Blended Malt
From the Vintage Malt Whisky Company comes Glenalmond, which marries single malts from selected Highland distilleries, though which exact distilleries remain a mystery. The liquid is then aged in sherry and bourbon casks before it's bottled at 40% ABV. If you're curious about the great big fish on the label, Glenalmond is named after the River Almond, and the brown trout pictured is also fished in the river. No almonds there though, if you were wondering.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Vanilla fudge, sweet malt cereal, cinnamon and a drizzle of honey.
Palate
Oodles of fruity sherry notes alongside fresh white stone fruits, candied citrus peel, vanilla cream and sugared almond.
Finish
Dried fruit and a sprinkle of brown sugar alongside vanilla pod on a lengthy finish.
