Usquaebach Old Rare Reviews

An uncommon blend and a treasured find

I'm normally an Islay drinker, gravitating toward Lagavulin and Laphroig. This product, however, took me by surprise. I took my first sip nearly 30 years ago and the memory of that taste stayed with me for years. I have said it is as smooth as vapor, but with much finer flavor. This is a whisky to be savored.

Very nice, a little pricey

This blend is excellently mellow and smooth. The decanter is a great conversation piece, especially at a bar. Very easy drinking with this one. I don't believe there is an age statement, but it seems much of the fire has been waited out. A little pricey for my taste, but should you be offered a dram, don't dream of turning it down!
