Undisclosed 6yo Nation Bottling Note

A single cask bottling from the Jewish Whisky Company for its Single Cask Nation series. Released as an undisclosed Islay expression, we now know the liquid is from Caol Ila, was distilled in 2009, and matured for six years in a second-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry barrique, an unusual cask size for sherry. It was then bottled in 2015 at cask strength, in a release of 276 bottles.

This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Spicy heat, barley sugar and malt cereal, with just a hint of salinity.

Palate: Lovely creamy notes of melted milk chocolate, with dried fruit and nuts among the chocolate, again with a sprinkle of salt and a pinch of pepper spice.

Finish: This one stays around for a while, with crystallised ginger, more dried fruit and another pinch of salt.
