The Tweeddale 14 Year Old (Batch 4)

Tweeddale 14 (Batch 4) Bottling Note

The Tweeddale blend is growing up so fast. It feels like it was just yesterday the first one of these small batch beauties was released as a 10 year old, but this fourth batch is a 14 year old!

As ever, the Tweeddale is a very yummy blend made with one grain whisky and eight malts, comprised of 50% grain and 50% malt. One of those eight malts is a Lowland whisky which was matured in a cask that previously held Islay whisky for an added bit of peaty goodness.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Warm apples, malt loaf and a few grassy notes. A subtle whiff of smoke and a squeeze of sweet lemon.

Palate: A jolt of sweetness that is soon balanced with a good helping of peppery spice and perhaps ginger. More peat, too.

Finish: Long and warming.

Overall: Very well balanced, hitting all the right notes.
