Tormore 8yo 2011 #9340 Bottling Note

This Speysider was distilled at Tormore in 2011, and initially aged in a cask which previously held Islay whisky! Then it was transferred for a finishing period in a Sauternes cask, adding some honeyed notes among the smoky influence. It was bottled at eight years old by The Vintage Malt Whisky Co. for The Cooper's Choice series, with a release of just 300 bottles at 53.5% ABV. Pretty cool stuff!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Apricot jam, runny honey and a waft of earthy smoke in support.

Palate: Peaches and cream balanced by aromatic smoke, charred vanilla pod and a touch of banana.

Finish: Stone fruit lingers on a ripe and subtly smoky finish.
