Tomatin 50 Year Old Bottling Note

Unveiled right at the end of 2018, the Tomatin 50 Year Old is a well-aged dram from the distillery in the Highlands. It was distilled back in November 1964 and allowed to aged for half of a century before being bottled in September 2018. Only a few Scotch whisky distilleries are able to bottle up whisky of this impressive age from their stocks, so it's always an incredibly special moment when it happens. This 70cl bottling comes with a 5cl bottle of the same extraordinary whisky, allowing you to taste it without having to crack open the full bottle, as well as a very handsome wooden presentation case, a brass and gold-plated glass stopper and a book signed by distillery manager Graham Eunson.

Tasting Note by The Producer

On the nose, you are met with aromas of freshly felled oak in an orchard of apples, pears and plums. Warming spices are mellowed by lashings of manuka honey. Once on your palate, it releases bursts of exotic tropical fruits and dried apricots, sweetened with flavours of vanilla toffee, crème caramel and flame raisins. Spices and fruits balance perfectly providing a luxurious, velvety finish.

Tomatin 50 Year Old Reviews

Wish I could afford it. I live in SA so the forex rate makes it tooooo expensive

Would be nice to review but seeing as I can't afford it I can only say it sounds awesome. Would be nice to taste it as I only prefer to drink whisky. My hubby was a Cooper in his younger years.
