An indie Ledaig here, distilled over at Tobermory in May 2009! It rested in a single bourbon hogshead for a decade, until March 2020 when it was bottled by Chapter 7 at 51% ABV, with an outturn of 351 bottles. Lots of clean coastal notes among the smoke in this Island whisky!
Nose: Coastal peat balanced by ripe pear, with ashy smoke leading into lemon citrus, honey and savoury seaweed.
Palate: White chocolate and salty smoke, with honeycomb, marmalade and candied ginger in support.
Finish: Pithy citrus and oaky vanilla linger alongside a wisp of smoke.
