A mixture of double distilled single malt and grain whiskey from the Cooley distillery in County Louth aged bourbon casks. Superb and, as Jim Murray says “easy going”, whiskey with wonderful character.
Nose: Berries and bramble, smooth spices and young oak. There are hints of malt and vanilla on the edges.
Palate: A slow slide of sweet fresh flavours, reminiscent of cooled fruits and honey, with slight citric tendencies arriving alongside liquorice. Developing for a spirited, tart, late palate.
Finish: A smoother, creamier, sweetness more akin to light custard. Ends with a crisp oakiness.
Overall: A sweet Irish blend that's likely gain a few converts.

Cant believe nobody has reviewed this dram yet. Been drinking this for about a year now and just introduced it to Grandad Sean, whose exact words were " oh yeah, i could drink that for breakfast ". He and i both enjoy drinks which don't rip the back of your throat out. Stupidly smooth everyday tipple, what more do you want. JELLY
