Independently-bottled Inchgower from The Vinatge Malt Whisky Co.! Distilled in 2010 and whacked into American oak for the bulk of its maturation, this single malt was then moved to a cask which previously held Beaumes de Vinese sweet wine for a finishing period. Just 300 bottles were released at 52.5% ABV, with lots of sweet, fresh fruit thanks to the cask finish.
Nose: Pears in syrup, buttery oak, and apple blossom, alongside hints of nutmeg.
Palate: Apple tart, green grape, and floral honey, with dried kitchen herbs in support.
Finish: More honey, oak spice, and red apple.
