The Macallan Masters of Photography: Steven Klein (Full Set of 10)

Macallan Masters Full Set Bottling Note

A full set of 10x The Macallan Masters of Photography: Steven Klein, each featuring a different limited edition print that makes up a stunning collection. Klein is the sixth master to partner with The Macallan for this highly collectible series. The concept, as Klein explains, is of "a world standing still through a moving camera" as a juxtaposition of the "abundance of movement" perhaps more readily associated with spirits, bars and parties. This can be seen in the video below that accompanies these releases. The single malt that Bob Dalgarno has crafted to complement Klein's work is made up partly with some older, peatier whisky to match the industrial feel, as well as whisky matured in Rioja casks (a first for The Macallan) that provides an appropriately pinkish hue. Inside each of the 10x substantial presentation cases each 70cl bottle and different print comes complete with a booklet, stopper, glass dropper, aroma still, infuser, high ball glass and tumbler.

Only 1,000 were produced worldwide.

Please note that due to the size, weight and value of this set we may need to confirm delivery options before despatch.

Tasting Note by The Producer

Nose: Sweet berries to the fore, tempered with hints of chalk and light vanilla. Dried fruits ripen but are still to open. Period oak. Caramelised ginger. Orange rounds out with a wisp of smoke.

Palate: Sweet spice lingers, then opens up to show subtle smokiness: brief then gone. A brief moment in time. Dark chocolate, and orange zest. Resinous oak is soft and textured. Wood smoke shows late.

Finish: Medium to long. Soft, rich fruit ending in wood smoke.
