The Macallan 35 Year Old 1965 (cask 4402) - Fine & Rare

Macallan 35yo 1965 #4402 Bottling Note

The Macallan's Fine & Rare series has an apt name, as it is home to some incredibly rare and fine whiskies from the the legendary distillery. This particular edition, for example, is a 35 year old expression distilled all the way back in 1965, left to mature in a sherry cask, and eventually bottled in 2002 at cask strength.

Tasting Note by The Producer

Nose: Good fruits, lemons and orange citrus with medium dried fruits. An even balance of wood maturity and spice with light vanilla toffee.

Palate: Citrus burst and fruity with light spices and a pleasing nutty dryness.

Finish: Drying woody notes balance forward fruits with a late finish of toasted nuts.
