Nose: Prunes, a little ginger and a hint of sherry give way to more perfumed notes, apple blossom and freshly made hot cross buns with apple pieces and orange peel. Caramac bars. Pear skin, hot, sweet pastry and vanilla.
Palate: Chopped red apple and sweet sultanas compete with some maltiness and oak beneath the surface.
Finish: Crisp walnut and chewy oak with hints of raisin shortbread.
