Macallan 1940 - Speymalt (Gordon & MacPhail)

Macallan 1940 Bottling Note

An old vintage from Macallan, bottled under Gordon and MacPhail's Speymalt range from the distillery. This was distilled in 1940 and aged in first fill sherry butts.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Lots of sherry and Macallan character. Cocoa, coffee, hints of smoke, bittersweet, hay, earth.

Palate: Sultana, thick and chewy, hints of smoke, spices, nutmeg, musty, deep.

Finish: Good finish, all on sherry, mellows and fills the palate.
