The first whisky from The Lakes Distillery, a British distillery in Cumbria that are as proud of their picturesque part of England as they are their excellently blended whisky. Both The ONE whisky and Cumbria are equally beautiful, but only one of them has sweet, spicy notes and a whiff of smoke, so we know which one we'll put in our glasses (it's the whisky, in case you were wondering).
Nose: Fresh fruit, treacle, potpourri and subtle peat-smoke.
Palate: Caramelised nuts, spice and dried fruits with swirls of wood smoke.
Finish: Mid-long, sweet and smoky notes of burnt toffee.

One of the best blended whisky’s I’ve had. Will definitely purchase again.

I tried this lovely drink for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it

I don’t enjoy smokey whiskys so it wouldn’t be fair to rate The One. It seemed like a very palatable whisky but I didn’t enjoy it because of the smoke. My advice is buy a small 5cl bottle before you spend big. Will it be better than your Smokey Grouse etc? Yes!

Quite skillful in its execution. Smooth, honeyed, floral, so I’m suspecting some young Speyside and perhaps a Highland or two have made the cut. Really decent price for a very drinkable drop.

I'm so sorry to say this whisky is undrinkable. I don't know if I got a bad bottle but this is so dreadful I couldn't give it away as I offered it to a few people but no takers. So disappointed. The gin on the other hand was absolutely amazing.

I first tasted ONE on one of the many visits to the lakes. A pleasant surprise when I received a bottle for my birthday and I can honestly say it is the best whisky I have ever tasted.

Highly suspect that Ardmore Distillery's whisky is in part, in this whisky. Not great, not totally bad either.

I was given a bottle of this for my birth a couple of years ago and have to admit it was rather good. Price slightly inflated for a new blend but I would say it’s worth paying. Quite pleasant on the tongue and the finish was too harsh either. For an English whisky I can’t fault it.

Smokey on the nose, slight honey on the palette with smokey follow through. I compare it to a nice talisker single malt. Despite being a cheaper blend I am very surprised, holds it own weight straight or on the rocks to open up the bouquet.

My wife bought me a The One 'bauble gift set' for Christmas, so I really wasn't expecting very much from this at all. What a wonderful surprise to find that this whisky is not only palatable but smooth and deliciously warming, and is now definitely one of my favourites.
