1770 Whisky Release No.1 Bottling Note

The very first whisky produced by The Glasgow Distillery Co. has arrived! 1770 Whisky is a single malt that was aged in first-fill American bourbon casks, then allowed a finishing period in virgin oak casks before bottling. Whisky production returning to Glasgow was a wonderful sight, and it's most definitely got a wonderful taste too!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Bright and fruit-forward with notes of pineapple, apricot and green apple, supported by grassy barley freshness.

Palate: Green apple again, Toffee Crisp bars, peppery warmth and beeswax.

Finish: Custard Cream biscuits and waves of honey.

1770 Whisky - Release No.1 Reviews

Glasgow whisky

Being from. Glasgow you expect it to be rough around the edges, but this was a step top far. Price doesn't make sense either. Taste it before you buy it.

A real gem.

An outstanding malt whisky that would sit happily amongst its much older contemporaries. Surprisingly smooth with a finish that has to be experienced to be believed.

100 for 50

Elegant, define, great shape, really catches the light, and a great vase... sorry just talking about the bottle here. Not sure why this is priced so high, I expected more.
